Health of a Lash Artist – Important Advice for Lash Technicians
Hello my dear lash ladies,
Today I want to talk about something very important — the health of every lash artist and lash technician who works with eyelash extensions every day.
Working in the lash industry is beautiful, but it is also physically demanding. Many lash artists spend long hours creating volume eyelash extensions for their clients using professional eyelash extension supplies, lash glue and lash tools.
Sometimes we fall in love with our work so much that we forget about our health — our back, our eyes, our emotional wellbeing and even our family.
But health is the most important thing for every professional working with lash supplies and eyelash extension products.
My Personal Experience
A few years ago I had the same problem.
I worked 12 hours every day applying eyelash extensions.
After two years:
• my vision became worse
• my back started hurting
• I was constantly tired
• and emotionally exhausted
Today I can’t even find my clothes without glasses or lenses. 👓
And the most interesting part?
All the money I earned working long hours was later spent on my health.
Instead of happiness I had stress and exhaustion.
Dear Lash Artists – Take Care of Yourself
My dear lash stars, please remember one important thing.
You will never earn all the money in the world, but you can easily lose your health.
Every professional lash artist who works with professional eyelash extension products and lash supplies must take care of themselves.
Let’s talk about the most common problems in the lash industry.
Problem 1 – Vision Problems
Working with lashes for eyelash extensions requires very strong concentration.
Because of this many lash technicians develop eye fatigue.
My advice:
✔ take 20 minute breaks between clients
✔ work with 3–4 clients per day
✔ always use professional lighting for eyelash extensions
Good lighting is just as important as using high-quality lash supplies and professional eyelash extension products.
Never work in darkness or using only the light from your phone.
Problem 2 – Back Pain
Another common problem for lash artists is back pain.
Many lash technicians sit in the same position for hours while working with lash extensions, lash glue and tweezers.
Invest in a comfortable chair and professional equipment.
Just like high-quality eyelash extensions supplies, good working equipment is essential for long-term health.
Also try to stay active:
• go to the gym
• dance
• stretch
• get massages
Movement is extremely important when working in a sitting position.
Problem 3 – Lash Glue Allergy
After several years of working with lash glue for eyelash extensions, some lash artists can develop allergy symptoms.
For example:
• runny nose
• burning eyes
• breathing problems
My advice:
✔ keep the room ventilated
✔ open windows for fresh air
✔ wear a mask
✔ avoid working too many hours
Working with high-quality professional lash glue and eyelash extension supplies can also reduce irritation.
Problem 4 – Emotional Health
Another important thing is emotional wellbeing.
If you feel tired and stop enjoying your work — you need rest.
Go out with friends.
Spend time with family.
Relax.
A happy lash artist creates more beautiful volume eyelash extensions and works better with professional lash products and tools.
Balance Is the Key
I truly love my work.
Eyelash extensions, my clients and my students are a big part of my life.
But I also learned how important it is to respect my health.
When you feel good, your work becomes better, your fans become more beautiful and your clients feel your positive energy.
So don’t become a robot.
Be a happy woman, a great mother, a loving partner and a successful lash artist working with the best eyelash extension supplies.
Love your work, love eyelashes — but always love yourself too.
With love,
Anastasiia Hutsaliuk
